About

It cannot be overstated that the internet is a highly populated and influential place. Youtube–one of the largest social media sites on the internet–garnishes around 3 billion video streams daily. We are blind if we accuse our music, televisions, games, and movies of influencing our worldviews and not the sort of content which appears on social media sites.  If we’re going to be Christians who care about the world, who seek to see the Gospel of Christ proclaimed from every significant avenue, we must pay attention to this particular medium of influence. Yet, as the stats show, social-media is dominated not by voices committed to God but by voices which proclaim Christianity’s time is over.

The Amazing Atheist – Over 95 million video views (285,000 Subscribers)

Thunderf00t - 40 million video views (150,000 Subscribers)

The Thinking Atheist - 11 million video views (75,000 Subscribers)

“Bible Blunders” Series - 500,000 video views

Edward Current - 90,000 Subscribers

The problem is obvious: the new atheists are getting the audience which Christians aren’t. That is, it is the atheists which are telling the world what Christianity is and isn’t. Christianity has been portrayed as thoroughly idiotic and exceptionally immoral. It can be said that while there are certainly groups within the faith that tend to avoid reasonable discourse and while there are many unfortunate and unethical actions which sometimes take place in the name of religion, we contend as Christians that at the very core–the very essence of Christianity–is both truth and morality.

Despite the very popular allegations of Christianity as something which it’s not, somehow we have largely left this mission field “untapped.” We have failed to go to it in the way which Christ calls us to: make disciples of all nations. We have, by and large, failed to provide a sufficient response to popular misconceptions of Christianity within the social media world.

Over the next 5 years, we are dedicated to producing 300 YouTube oriented films on a variety of concepts as they relate to the Christian worldview.  We are not writing a book for sale. We are not producing DVDs which we intend to shell out for a cost. We’re keeping this ministry up and running as a free, open-source well of information and discipleship. From the existence of God to bioethics; from the meaning of art to the reality of sin; from the life of great historical figures to purpose of the family. Help us in making this a reality.
